Sun City West is the newer of the two Del Webb communities, so its homes are younger. The Recreation Centers of Sun City West say Del Webb built it between 1978 and 1997. It holds about 16,900 homes, 2.5 miles west of the original Sun City. Sun City West is not Sun City: its median home is 16 years younger.
